What is Legacybox Backup?

Legacybox Backup is an older service that stores digitized photos and videos securely online.

Legacybox Backup is no longer sold to new customers, but some customers who signed up in the past may still have active Backup accounts. These accounts continue to be supported.

If you’re looking for our current offering, see Legacybox Membership, which replaces Legacybox Backup and offers a more modern experience.


How is Legacybox Backup different from a Legacybox Membership?

  • Legacybox Backup

    • Legacy platform

    • Accessed using an order number and email

    • Limited features compared to a Legacybox Membership

    • No longer available to new customers


  • Legacybox Membership

    • Current platform

    • Accessed using an email-based account login

    • Includes viewing, downloading, sharing, and organization tools

    • Actively developed and supported


If you already have a Legacybox Backup account, you can continue using it as described below.


How do I sign in to Legacybox Backup?

To sign in to Legacybox Backup:

  1. Visit the Legacybox Backup homepage: https://legacybox.com/pages/backup-login

  2. Enter:

    • Your original order number

    • The email address used when you placed the order


Legacybox Backup does not use the same sign-in system as your Legacybox account.



How do I manage my Legacybox Backup account?

  1. Visit https://legacybox.com/pages/backup-login

  2. Sign in using your 7-digit order number and email address

  3. Scroll to the Backup section

  4. Select Manage Account

  5. For security, enter the 4-digit PIN sent to you by email or SMS

  6. From there, you can manage your Backup account


⚠️ Important note about cancellation

If you cancel your Legacybox Backup account:

  • Your files will remain accessible until the end of your billing period

  • Once your access ends, you will lose access to your memories online.

If you want to keep copies, be sure to download your files before canceling.
