Everything you need to know about Legacybox BackupUpdated 15 days ago
What is Legacybox Backup?
Legacybox Backup is an older storage plan that keeps your digitized videos, photos, and audio stored securely online. It's no longer sold to new customers, but active Backup accounts are still fully supported.
Backup has now merged into the Legacybox web app, the same platform as Legacybox Membership.
What changed?
Backup accounts used to have their own login page, where you signed in with your order number and email. That page has been replaced. You now sign in at my.legacybox.com, the same place as every Legacybox account, and you no longer need your order number.
Nothing happened to your archive. Everything you had in Backup is still stored, and your billing is unchanged.
How do I sign in?
Go to my.legacybox.com.
Sign in with the email address on your Backup account.
Your Backup archive appears at the top of the page, with everything it contains counted by videos, photos, and audio.

How do I download my archive?
You can prepare your entire archive as a single download and save it to your computer. The steps are in How do I access and download my Backup archive?
What's the difference between Backup and a Legacybox Membership?
Backup keeps your archive stored and available to download. A Legacybox Membership adds the rest of the web app: viewing your memories, organizing them into collections, and sharing them with family.
⚠️ Important note about cancellation
If you cancel your Legacybox Backup account, your files remain accessible until the end of your billing period. After that, you lose access to your memories online. If you want to keep copies, download your archive before canceling.
