What sizes are available?
We offer a range of sizes so you can find the one best suited to your family's needs.
- Starter Legacybox (digitize up to 2 items)
- Family Legacybox (digitize up to 10 items)
- Closet Legacybox (digitize up to 20 items)
- Trunk Legacybox (digitize up to 40 items)
If your analog media collection is in between our offered sizes, no sweat! We include extra item barcodes with every kit. If you chose to send in more items than what's included with your pre-paid kit, we'll just invoice you for the difference once we check in your order!
What's an item?
1 item = 1 tape OR 1 reel OR 1 pack of 25 photo items. You can mix and match the media types you chose to send us!
Below are a few examples of items:
- 1 videotape
- 1 film reel (any size up to 10.5 inches)
- 1 audio reel (any size up to 10.5 inches)
- 1 audio cassette
- 1 set of 25 photos prints (any size up to 8.5 x 11 inches)
- 1 set of 25 slides (standard 35mm or 126)
- 1 set of 25 negatives (standard 35mm)
If I include extra items, how much will they be?
Each additional item is $17.99 each. For example, if you have 12 items you would get the 10-item Family Box and then add the two extra tapes to it. We will send you an invoice via email for those additional items once we receive the box back!
If I send in fewer items than the box is designed for, do I still have to pay for the whole box?
Yes, the boxes are based on capacity, not per item. So if you have 15 items and you order a 20-item box, you'll still pay the same price for the 20-item box that you would have paid if you had 20-items. There are two ways you can arrange "in-between" sizes.
- You could order a size down: For example, you could order the 10-item box and send in the extra 5 items with the additional items labels that come with your box. You'll be invoiced later for the additional items.
- You could order the next size up: For example, you could order the 20-item box and send in 15 tapes. No extra invoicing, and it's usually cheaper.
